Brand-based designs make it EASY for your customers to see your products and immediately KNOW it is part of your brand because of the logo, the style, perhaps color choices, etc. Contrast THAT approach to just producing random cat designs that are all over the place. You MAY find a couple of winners here and there but there is nothing that lets your customer know that the designs are part of YOUR collection. They could belong to ANYONE. And, by the way, non-branded designs are MUCH easier to knock off by others...not good!
